I am presented what is called one of the most rare foods in the world and is considered a delicacy by the elite upper class. The food is a bright red shrimp, and it appears almost as if it is still alive. It wriggles slightly on the platter. When I eat it, I feel disgusted but I continue eating it. This is the first dream I have ever had about eating something, and in my dream I can actually taste it. The texture is very soft, almost mushy and lukewarm. It feels wrong to eat it. Afterwards I look up and I see a man climbing a great height with a safety cable attached to several points on a ceiling. The man falls, and is first held safe by the rope attached to the safety point, but the safety point fails. The man continues to fall and gains speed, and each time one of the safety points tries to save him they fail and he falls to his death.
This dream could be interpreted as reflecting feelings of discomfort and unease in a situation where you feel pressured to conform to societal expectations or norms of success, represented by the rare and prestigious food that is presented to you. Eating the food despite feeling disgusted may symbolize a sense of obligation or pressure to taste success or conform to a certain way of life, even if it feels wrong or goes against your instincts.
The man climbing the great height with safety cables could symbolize the risks and dangers involved in striving for success or climbing the social ladder. The repeated failures of the safety points to save the man could represent fears of failure, loss of control, or the fragility of the safety nets that are supposed to protect us in challenging situations.
Overall, this dream may suggest a fear of sacrificing your authenticity or values in pursuit of external validation or success, as well as concerns about the unpredictable and potentially fatal consequences of taking risks or pushing yourself too far beyond your limits. It could be a reminder to listen to your intuition and stay true to yourself, even in the face of societal pressures or expectations.
